Linux kernel 2.6.24 released. Nothing major, some network driver updates and stuff.
KDE goes cross-platform. KDE support now are available on Windows and Mac OS X platform.
SimCity source code released under GPL. Not a Linux new, still thought it’s interesting. Due to some trademark issue the GPL version of SimCity goes under a different name, Micropolis.
