“Is that the iPhone?”
“No. It’s just an iPod Touch”
When I meet new people, I store their contacts on the address book on my iPod Touch. People mistakenly thought it is an iPhone.
“Is that a PDA?”
“No it’s just an iPod Touch”
I note down appointments on my iPod Touch using the calendar app. It syncs with iCal when connect it with my Mac. I take notes and create to-do list using the Notes app on my iPod Touch I then mail it back to myself if I want a copy on my Mac. People mistakenly thought it is a PDA device.
“Is that an Internet tablet?”
“No it’s just an iPod Touch”
Whenever there is a wifi signal I can get on, I check my email, surf the web, watch YouTube video and sometime use Google Map to figure out where the hell I am at or where I’m going. People mistakenly thought it is an Internet tablet of some sorts.

In the old days, the mobile industry was a predictable. Companies keep designing new phone, each better then the previous version, nothing revolutionary. Then Apple came in and sort of slapped everyone on the face with its new iPod with GSM phone capabilities, known to many as the iPhone.
Now it seems that everybody wants to get into mobile phones. Google announce its mobile platform OS known as Android. Clever move on Google part by not making a phone but a mobile OS instead. Google is not a hardware company.
Microsoft is not just sitting still hanging on their Windows Mobile either. While the Microsoft $40 billion deal with Yahoo! still hanging, they when shopping for another company. This time they get a mobile phone company Danger Inc. the makes of the T-mobile Sidekick.

5 undersea Internet cables snapped within a short time frame. Is the Internet under attack? The Internet, most of it, are connected with intercontinental cables submerge undersea.
Several undersea Internet cables in Asia that connects to Europe and the rest of the world snapped. India and part of the Middle East are suffering from Internet traffic slowdown.
Some sources mentioned of ship’s anchor being drag by a storm which might have cause it. It’s must be a huge storm if it can drag anchored ships from Egypt to India (is that even possible?). May be it wasn’t the same ship, several ships suddenly dropped anchor on Internet cables around the same week.
Five cables around the Middle East snapped, ok so one was powered down for some odd reason, it is still weird and a little bit fishy to me.

Until the early 1990s, media had always relied primarily upon print and analog broadcast. Newspapers, magazines, radio and television broadcast are the known method for people to consume information and entertainment. These medium are easily controllable.
These days, I find myself not needing any of those.
I rarely watches television even though I have an Astro subscription with over hundred channels. These days I download all my entertainment needs from the Internet. I am not advocating piracy.

It is no secret that Microsoft is looking for a way to venture out into a non-software related field. Take a look at Microsoft Live. However it is clear that they are some what lacking when competing against the web giants with the likes of Google or Yahoo!.
If you can’t beat them, buy them.
