“Is that the iPhone?”
“No. It’s just an iPod Touch”
When I meet new people, I store their contacts on the address book on my iPod Touch. People mistakenly thought it is an iPhone.
“Is that a PDA?”
“No it’s just an iPod Touch”
I note down appointments on my iPod Touch using the calendar app. It syncs with iCal when connect it with my Mac. I take notes and create to-do list using the Notes app on my iPod Touch I then mail it back to myself if I want a copy on my Mac. People mistakenly thought it is a PDA device.
“Is that an Internet tablet?”
“No it’s just an iPod Touch”
Whenever there is a wifi signal I can get on, I check my email, surf the web, watch YouTube video and sometime use Google Map to figure out where the hell I am at or where I’m going. People mistakenly thought it is an Internet tablet of some sorts.
It is not a smart phone, it is not a PDA, it is not a GPS device. It is just an iPod. The ultimate PDA/smart phone device for me is not even an PDA or a smart phone but an iPod.
I’m a long time Palm user. I’ve been using a Palm Tungsten T, in trying to keep things organize and yet I found myself doing more on my iPod Touch then I had ever did on my Palm Tungsten.
It is easier to enter data on the iPod Touch then any Palm devices I have used. Using a stylus is dorky these days.
The iPod is not just a really good portable media player, it is much more then that.
Note that I have not Jail Broken my iPod. I’m using my iPod Touch as how Apple had design it to be. There might be other more useful third party program with a Jail Broken iPod Touch, but I think I’ll wait for the official SDK.
After using the iPod Touch interface, its making me want an iPhone. If the day comes when Apple officially launch their iPhone in Malaysia I’ll be lining up for it.
