Malaysia petrol price increase

Petrol

Yesterday I was bombarded with SMS, emails, IMs, Tweets, and almost all form of communication. Everybody is telling me that petrol prices when up, RM2.70 per litter. Not a big surprise, almost everyone have been expecting it to happen. Petrol prices have in the past rise but not as much as it has this time.

The conversations continue. People around me are bitching about how this will effect their life. How their life becomes harder. How this effect other prices from food, electricity and obviously transportation services.

Yes I know that if this keeps up, soon I can’t afford to go to work. No money to buy fuel for my car.

The prospect of being a so called ‘pro-blogger‘ gets more and more attractive. Stay at home, crawl the web for contents I can steal copy and linked to. Time to change career?

I realize that some serious lifestyle changes need to be made, if I were to survive the days to come. I’ve to forget about my plan to buy myself a new car, specifically the Ferrari F430 Spider. It is not very economical due to the circumstances.

The money I am saving for a new MacBook Pro now has to go to buying petrol for my car. My comic and manga collection wont be updated as often as it should.

I realize that now I would have to skip breakfast and lunch and on certain days even dinner, to save money for petrol.

If you see someone cycling his bike through MRR2, thats probably me.

Problem? Not for me. I just have to adopt my lifestyle to accommodate such economical changes.

Malaysians are too used to driving a car. Fuel hike probably a direct effect to all malaysian’s driver. But the meaning behind is the inflation of every single sector. I personally believes that now, is not a right time to do this. We should have preparation before having expensive petrol which cost us blood.
