I understand that innocent people die due to natural disaster. I understand that natural disaster happens due to the effect and consequences to the environment.
I understand that innocent people die as collateral damage in conflict zones and war. I understand that this happened when politics and diplomatics ways doesn’t work. I understand that a soldier under orders have to deploy bombs and other weapons to eliminate the threat of the other site, sometimes innocent bystanders are in its path.
I understand that innocent people die when being rob. I understand that some people due to the circumstances feels that they are less fortunate then others. In order for them to survive, they would do anything including hurting other people.
I understand that innocent people die due to the religious belief of others. I understand that due to the environment they live in, they are brainwashed in becoming extremists and take their religious belief to extreme level. I understand what makes them strap themselves with explosive and set it off, taking a few surrounding bystanders with them.
I understand vengeance. I understand that when a kid is being push to a conner it make sense to them to pull the trigger against their school mates.
However, I do not understand why the 7 people at Akihabara have to die. I do not understand what would make Tomohiro Kato, aged 25, ranted a 2 ton truck, drove over 100 kilometers to Akihabara from Shizuoka, to ran over people. I do not understand what makes him then get off the truck and start stabbing random people he cam across.
“I came to Akihabara to kill. Anyone would have been fine (I dont care who I killed)” – the words of the person who killed 7 people in Akihabara yesterday.
It is all over Japan news, across the world and the blogosphere. A temp worker stabs 7 to death and injures several others at the streets of Akihabara in broad daylight.
“I came alone to Akihabara to kill people, Anyone was OK”
Please help me to understand this. It is already a fucked up world we live in, why make it more worst?
My sympathies and prayers goes to those who were killed and their family. Also I hope that those who were injured will pull through.
