DestroyFlickr is an interesting application that runs on the Adobe Air. The platform is designed to run application build with web technology on multiple OS platform, it is still in alpha but works just fine in Linux.

I’m already a Flickr junkie as it is, in certain days I spend hours just surfing on Flickr’s site looking at random photos. This app doesn’t help curing my addiction in anyway at all. It just makes it worst.

The word ‘Destroy‘ here means ‘deconstruct’, ‘re-thinking’ or more of a mind hack concept as oppose to ‘vengeance’ or ‘obliterate. DestroyFlickr does not add more features to what you could already do on Flickr’s website, it only makes everything looks prettier. The app is fast and responsive too.
I like this app as it gives me the ability to look at my photos and other photos at Flickr on a dark, neutral background, as oppose to viewing it on Flickr’s bright white website. I also like how everything flows smoothly.
This is a total rethinking of user interaction with Flickr’s content. You can also upload you photo with this app.

Of cause apps like this can only be done because of Flickr releasing a solid API and the hardwork of Jonnie Hallman. It is a good trend nowadays when company release APIs to interface with their content and services. Let others develop for you.
DestroyFlickr is one of the best Adobe Air apps I’ve stumble upon. If you do know of other cool Adobe Air apps, or if you are developing one, drop me a line.
