Sunburst 09

Written by J Shamsul, Monday, February 2, 2009 | 0

Remember Sunburst 08? Those who went to Sunburst last year would have remembered how fun it was. Those who didn’t went to Sunburst last year must have remembered how your friends who did went, keep talking about how fun it was.

Guess what? The 12 hours of fun filled music festival is back. Sunburst 09 is just around the conner. This time bigger then the last.

Pineapple Concerts did it again, and are bringing back Sunburst for the second year.

Based on the information on Junk’s online blog, there will be a total of six performance stage. The Sun Stage and Sky Stage, most probably is the main outdoor stage showcasing international headliners and established local acts. The Livesounds Stage and Tuborg Loud & Clear Stage, both are indoor stage showcasing the best local and regional acts. Speedzone Interactive Tour will have Formula 1 and Moto GP simulators in a club-like environment with DJ spinning in the background. Also a Silent Disco Arena, no speakers just 300 pair of wireless headphones given out to partygoers and Malaysia’s A-list DJ providing the soundtrack.

The official international and local artists line up have no yet been confirmed. However, according to the list, I am crossing my fingers hoping for Coldpay and Foo Fighters to be there, or maybe if they could throw in Death Cab for Cutie or Broken Social Scene in the mix if that is possible. Wont comment much until the official lineup is ready. Wouldn’t want to Jinx it. Lineup will be announce on 6th February.

Sunburst 09 is happening on the 21st March 2009 at the Bukit Kiara Equestrian Club. Early bird tickets are on sale from 20th January to 8th February for RM143. After the early bird period, pre-sale tickets are sold for RM203 and tickets sale at the door on the day itself is RM253. So get your tickets early. I already did.
