This is a warning. The following writings may contains spoilers to the new J. J. Abrams’ Star Trek movie. If you haven’t yet watch Star Trek, I suggest skip reading this and go watch it now. Read the following blog post at your won risk.

I doubt many notice what J. J. Abrams did with Star Trek. Genius. Instead of just taking an old franchise and re-create an awesome origin story just like what Christoper Nolan did with Batman, JJ Abrams did something awesomely different.

The new Star Trek movie is not just an origin movie. Watch out, spoilers ahead. The plot twist where the hostile Romulans were actually from the future, and the fact that they went back in time had actually change the certain events. This is like pressing the reset button, whatever you know about the previous Star Trek, thats are on a different time line. A new parallel universe.

This gives the old franchise a new breath. They could rewrite anything, and yet still honor the old fans. They have here a chance to make Star Trek cool.

Star Trek will disappoint no one. The new Star Trek movie will create new Star Trek fans.
