Everybody by now should have known about Apple’s iPhone, or at least have an idea about it. No doubt it’s the most recognizable phone out there.
Apple came to the mobile phone industry and place their flag on top of the hill. On the other hand, manufacturers like Motorola, Sony Ericsson, Samsung, RIM and Nokia, didn’t even notice there was a hill before the iPhone. Now they are trying to climb the hill by introducing their touch-sereen type of media phones.
While these big corporation duke it out, many had forgotten there was once a small company that could. It has a small but strong and loyal following. It’s Palm, the company that first make their mark with their PDA line, and also their Treo smart phones.

This time they are coming back with their newest device known as the Palm Pre. Some say that this is their last hope to stay relevant to the market. This device could either make or break Palm.
Palm Pre is an Internet connected multimedia smartphone. It has a brand new OS, dub as the Palm WebOS. Expect it to have significant integration to Web 2.0 web application and social network. Looking at the tons of video on YouTube you can see it has an interesting concept for an interface.
Palm Pre about to debut early June, too bad though, as rumors are Apple have a new iPhone under its sleeve. Palm might only have a short media window for its Palm Pre.
