15Malaysia is what happened when you get 15 Malaysian filmmakers, making 15 short films about Malaysia that deals with socio-political issues. 15 Malaysian voices for the people of Malaysia.
The 15 shot films will feature some of the best known faces in the country, actors, musicians and even top political figures. According to this New Straits Time report, expect to see PAS spiritual adviser Dato’ Nik Aziz, Minister of Health Liow Tiong Lai, Zaid Ibrahim and Khairy Jamaluddin.
Resulted from a collaboration from the team behind Malaysian Artistes For Unity working with local filmmakers, 15Malaysia will also feature familiar faces personalities including Adibah Noor, Sarifah Amani, Harith Iskandar, Atillia, Amber Chia, Serena C and many more.
Also the controversial Namawee (Wee Meng Chee) will also make an appearance.
The official launch and film will be released on 17th August 2009 (next monday), for free on their website, 15malaysia.com. KLue has the release dates on this blog post.

I do hope they offer downloads on the website, as streaming video isn’t that great here, especially when it’s one of those bad Internet day. Then again P1 is sponsoring, my guess they are in good hands.
