Say what you want about Kuala Lumpur, it’s infamous traffic jams, the pollution, Mat Rempits, haze and how just a little rain could turn the city into a water park, whatever it is I still love this city.
Although I wasn’t born in Kuala Lumpur, but the city is where I grew up. This is where I got to know the world. This is where I learned life’s lesson. Kuala Lumpur had been a good teacher to me and I am pretty sure that I am not the only one who feels this way.
Kuala Lumpur has many stories with in it. Maybe you meet your first crush here in Kuala Lumpur, went on your first date somewhere here in Kuala Lumpur, had your first kiss, your first car accident, and so on.

I’m glad to see this project, A City of Shared Stories Kuala Lumpur by the British Council Creative Cities programme. The project aim is to bring out all the untold stories of a city, in this case is Kuala Lumpur.
The website is nicely done and simple enough for anybody to use. Click on ‘Write you own Stories’, enter in a title, start typing your story in less then 1600 characters and place it on the embedded Google map.
I’ll be contributing some of my stories on the website, and if you have any KL stories you should submit them too. If you have nothing else to do read the writings submitted, there are also a few poems and haiku here and there.
