This will be a regular post on Jiboneus. From time to time I’ll try to post something relating to Linux or the Open Source world in general. I call it the ‘Linux Chaser’, something which I totally stole from CNET’s Buzz Out Loud podcast. Five or more links to something Linux-y.
- The KDE Community had announced the immediate availability of KDE 4.0. I haven’t try out KDE 4, not much of a KDE guy. Also check out the KDE 4 Live CD if you plan to try it out.
- gOS 2.0 Rocket is now Available. The ‘g’ in gOS is not to mistaken for ‘Google’ but it simply means ‘Good’ as in ‘Good enough for most people’. The gOS has good integration with online apps like Google, Facebook, Blogger and such.
- Something for the ultimate Linux Geek, Linux kernel source code screensaver. A screensaver that randomly shows part of the source code for the Linux kernel.
- LinuxMCE, turn your Linux box into a kick ass media center. Check out the screenshots and demo videos.
- Flickr photoset of someone’s OLPC. One Laptop Per Child project, great idea. Can you imagine, a generation of computer users where their first experience in computing is not Windows.
